Ashadihan aiming for Royal Ascot after Haydock romp
Ashadihan, a 2 year old filly by Kyllachy out of our resident mare Miss Delila (Malibu Moon) produced an extremely impressive display on her debut to bolt up by 3 lengths for Jamie Spencer and Kevin Ryan. Settled at the back throughout the first three furlongs, Ashadihan gradually eased her way into contention before bursting clear at the furlong marker to win by a comfortable 3 lengths with Spencer easing down from some way out. The filly is obviously extremely precocious and looks Royal Ascot bound with trainer Kevin Ryan stating:
"Ashadihan is a very smart filly and there's a lot of improvement in her. all her work is exceptional and she's got a great mind to go with it, she's so laid back. Royal Ascot is probably the plan, but she's a heavy topped filly and I'd be a little bit nervous about running her on very fast ground. If it came up nice ground at Royal Ascot then she'd go. She's got a huge future ahead of her."
Ashadihan's three parts brother by Pivotal is currently entered for the 2015 Tattersalls October yearling sales, and Miss Delila produced an Invincible Spirit filly foal in 2015 that can be viewed in the gallery.
Highbank wishes Ashadihans connections the best of luck at Royal Ascot and beyond.
